Sit Down to a Hilarious Dinner With Yakov in Branson

This week I had Dinner With Yakov in Branson and “laughed my Yak-ov” all while learning a lot about love, laughter and the key to a happy relationship.

A Russian born comedian, Yakov became an American citizen in 1986 and quickly gained fame with his quick and hilarious commentary on American customs. With the fall of the Soviet Union, Yakov reinvented his stand-up comedy with a focus on relationships, love and laughter.

Yakov has a special talent for making his guests feel at home in his Branson theater and his dinner show is especially entertaining because he will sit down in a chair onstage and eat dinner with you as you are given the opportunity to ask him any question you want. One lady in the audience took it as an opportunity to ask the question, “Boxers or briefs?” (See what I mean about him making people feel comfortable?) After a brief moment of dumbfounded silence and giggles from all over the audience, he responded with, “I only wear Italian Leather or nothing at all. But really, it just depends.

If that gives you any idea of how the entirety of this show is, you should just go get your tickets now.

Throughout the show, he talked a lot about his family, his own relationships with his wife and kids and the struggles of becoming accustomed to a whole new culture. His laid-back show tackles some complex aspects of everyday relationships, all wrapped in a thick coating of laughter that will leave you with a deep sense of hope and enjoyment.

Yakov Smirnoff truly is a very talented entertainer and a sincere individual that can easily connect with just about anyone. You’ll enjoy this show filled with laughter and love as you sit down to a delicious meal of chicken, vegetables, mashed potatoes, cornbread, beef brisket and apple pie with this well known comedian.
