Everyone knows the popular sounds of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and the man responsible for that number one country hit is a country western and southern rock music legend.
Charlie Daniels has been performing since the 1950s and truly has perfected his craft with incredible vocal and instrumental talents that have moved audiences everywhere.
With a 1979 Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance, an induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of fame in 1999 and several top country hits like “The Legend of Wooley Swamp,” “Still in Saigon” and “In America,” Daniels is a much loved musician and performer.
The Oak Ridge Boys Theatre is scheduled to host Charlie Daniels this Friday for a one-of-a-kind performance at 8 p.m. I know we’re all hoping that he plays “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” live and I’m willing to bet he does, so don’t miss the chance to experience that up close in Branson!
