Well-known Branson comedian and entertainer Yakov Smirnoff has started a new endeavor as he has been working on a new sitcom called Happily Ever Laughter.
The sitcom features the same producers as popular favorites The Cosby Show and That 70s Show and will be based around his experiences in the classroom at Missouri State University.
This isn’t Yakov’s first experience with television. In the late 1970s he was a regular guest star on NBC’s sitcom Night Court and has been a guest of various other TV shows including the Tonight Show. He also starred in the feature film Moscow on the Hudson alongside Robin Williams.
Yakov taught classes at Missouri State University and Drury in Springfield, Mo and received his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. His current show in Branson, Dinner with Yakov, focuses on relationships, love and laughter as well as his experience of becoming an American citizen.
