When you see the 3 Redneck Tenors in Branson you may not know what to expect. I just attended a show from these three vocalists and I can tell you this — expect a high quality show filled with incredible vocals, great music and a lot of laughs.
When the curtains opened to reveal three men in overalls, band tees and mullet wigs, I couldn’t help but think, “Oh boy, what did I get myself into now.”
But as soon as these three performers opened their mouths I knew I was in for a great show.
The 3 Redneck Tenors are amazingly talented musicians and their spot-on harmonies, powerful vocals and high-energy choreography will keep your eyes glued to the stage for the entire two hours.
The group consists of Matthew Lord, a versatile tenor who has performed with the San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the New York Metropolitan Opera and many others, Blake Davidson, an award-winning vocalist who has earned his experience in opera, symphony and musical theatre with performances at Carnegie Hall, the Tokyo Opera House and many more and finally Jonathan Frugé, the youngest of the three tenors, who has had solo appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the New York City Chamber Orchestra and several others.
Obviously, these three men have the chops to put on a great show and they truly do. Throughout the show, they flip effortlessly back and forth from their backwoods, redneck characters to extremely polished operatic singers who fill the theater with smooth harmonies and soaring melodies.
The 3 Redneck Tenors incorporate original songs into the show as well as hits from a variety of artists and genres including Rascal Flatts, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and the beautiful “The Music of the Night” from the Phantom of the Opera.
Music lovers of all ages will love this show and the fun-loving humor, gorgeous music and sheer talent that comes with it.
The 3 Redneck Tenors perform at Andy Williams Moon River Theater at 2500 W. 76 Country Blvd., Branson, right next to Shorty Smalls restaurant on the strip.
