Visit Crain Creations Gallery in Historic Downtown Branson

Next time you’re in downtown Branson, look for the man painting in the window of a small shop on Main Street — that’s Tom Crain, one of the many talented artists in Branson.

Tom has been painting for more than 40 years now and his shop, Crain Creations Gallery, attracts scores of visitors year round with beautiful paintings showcasing gorgeous rustic nature scenes, original patriotic displays and nostalgic western artwork.

Tom’s sheer talent for highlighting the small details that make every day life so beautiful is apparent in all of his artworks. I could stare at his paintings for hours and still get lost within the frames that seem to encase an entirely separate world of their own.

Crain Creations Gallery doesn’t just feature his own artwork though. Artwork from more than 20 different local artists fills the shop, with a jewelry counter that displays handcrafted pieces, art brought back from the corners of the earth by missionaries and several characteristic antiques and carvings.

Framing and custom artwork is also available at this gallery, so if you fall in love with Tom’s artwork like I did, you can work with him to create a custom made piece that perfectly matches you and your home.

Tom spends his days at the gallery visiting with customers and painting in the window so passerbys can watch his expert fluid brush motions that transform blank, white canvases into original, breathtaking masterpieces.

Stop in and take a look around, visit with Crain and his wife and make sure to sign the visitor book, which contains the names of hundreds of other visitors from all over the world that have stepped foot in the gallery as well.

Crain Creations Gallery is just two shops down from the Branson Cafe at 114 W. Main Street in downtown Branson. The gallery is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and closed Sundays.
