The annual Grape & Fall Festival in Hollister kicks off next Saturday with an exciting day of crafting, live music from talented locals and of course — the famous grape stompers.
After sixteen years of festivities, the event continues to draw thousands back to the city of Hollister for some incredible grape-stomping fun. Last year, the festival had more than 10,000 attendees and this year should be just as popular.
Walk up and down Historic Downing Street, just minutes from Branson, and paruse the local vendors, businesses and non-profit organizations exhibiting their products and services. Grab a delicious bite to eat or sign up to participate in the popular grape stomping competition where your team will stomp along to the beat of your self-made music mix to win the grand prize. (Registration form is due by Oct. 8 if you want to participate!)
The event also includes the Color Me Grape 5K where runners will finish the race, covered in bright colors from color packets filled with a non-toxic, colored corn startch. Both online and same day onsite registration are available for runners and walkers and includes a t-shirt, a bag of color, sunglasses and a raffle ticket for the Grape & Fall Festival prize drawings. Click here for more registration information and a course map. The proceeds will help pay the medical bills of a local family whose father is battling colon cancer. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. at Hollister City Hall.
