Learn a New Craft at the Hammer-in & Knife Show

Shepherd of the Hills HomesteadVisit with some of the country’s top knife makers at the Hammer-in & Knife Show, an exciting knife-making event hosted by the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead this September 27-28 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. both days.

The event will be a “complete custom knife making experience” with two gas forges and one coal forge in the demonstration area where continuous demos will be held all weekend. The demonstrations will include all aspects of knife making including the forging of blades with hammer and anvil, grinding and heat treatments of the blades, construction of handles and guards, handle carving and scrimshaw and sheath construction.

Shepherd of the Hills HomesteadThe knife show will be held inside the Pavilion Theatre and on Saturday guests can attend an exciting cutting competition between knife makers.

All of these events are free to the public. The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead is located at 5586 Hwy. 76, Branson, two miles north of the Branson IMAX.

  2. Kelsey – References to “Sons of the Pioneers Pavilion Theater” are confusing to audiences. Sons of the Pioneers, who hold the lawful trademark to the name, are no longer at Shepherd of the Hills and are now at Baldknobbers Theater. Shepherd of the Hills no longer has the right to use that name. Use of their name in connection with Shepherd of the Hills can misled the public into believing they are still associated with that property. This is compounded by the fact that Shepherd has a cowboy show there this year in direct competition with the Pioneers. We ask your cooperation in removing the misleading language from your blog.
