Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Branson Landing

Walk to End Alzheimer’sThe 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Saturday, September 13 at the Branson Landing and will incorporate a two mile walk around the Branson Landing in an effort to raise awareness and increase support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Same day registration begins at 9 a.m. followed by a ceremony at 10 a.m. and the walk at 10:15 a.m.

Each registered walker will receive a Promise Garden flower that best represents his or her connection with the disease.

  • A blue flower represents someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • A purple flower is for those who have lost a loved one to Alzheimer’s.
  • A yellow flower represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.
  • An orange flower is for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

After the event has concluded, photos of walkers will be posted to the Alzheimer’s Association’s website where walkers may share them.
