If you’re looking for a new place to hike in Branson this summer, you’re in luck! Branson’s newest trail extension just recently opened, adding another half mile to the already 3.2 mile-long Roark Creek Trail.
The new extension, which is both paved and handicapped accessible, can be found in Branson’s Stockstill Park and connects at the Branson Landing and North Beach. The Branson Parks & Recreation website says that future extensions will provide connections to the Waterfall Trail and Henning State Conservation Area.
Those looking for an easy to moderate hike will find the experience on the Roark Creek Trail to be a charming one, filled with beautiful views of the natural surroundings as it follows the Roark Creek from Lake Taneycomo up through the Roark Creek Valley.
When you’re hiking, it’s important to take precautions and be prepared so for more information on how to prepare for your hike, visit http://www.bransonshows.com/articles/TakeWildnernessVacationInMissouri.htm.
