It’s Never too Late to Enjoy the Legends Live Onstage

Legends in ConcertLast week I went to Legends in Concert thinking the highlight of the show would be the appearance of none other than Justin Timberlake. I’ve been a die-hard fan ever since his ‘N Sync days and although his style and musical techniques are quite a bit different today than they were back then, his talent and good looks overwhelm the stage wherever he performs.

To my own surprise, my “favorite of show” vote went to Whitney Houston as she completely blew me away with the most fantastic performance I’ve ever seen. She belted out audience favorites with ease as I found myself singing along to hits like “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me),” and “I’m Every Woman.”Legends in Concert

The national media coverage of her death in 2012 grieved thousands of loyal fans and this performance at Legends in Concert certainly honored her life and paid homage to her incredible talent and life achievements.

The show just kept getting better after Whitney and Kenny Chesney warmed up the stage with toe-tapping favorites and of course, JT was amazing, hitting all the top chart favorites like “My Love,” “SexyBack,” and “Mirrors.”Legends in Concert

The Blues Brothers were a change of pace and really shook things up. Jake and Elwood literally danced all over the place to “Soul Man,” “Shake Your Tailfeather,” and more contagiously fun blues hits. Elwood even took a panorama of the audience for the Legends in Concert Facebook page, so if you go see this show, definitely go tag yourself in an awesome photo with hundreds of others at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater.

To top off a fantastic night of performances from world-renowned artists, none other than Elvis Presley wowed the audience with his effortless and authentic vocals, mannerisms and musicianship as he sat down with the talented live band to fulfill audience requests including “(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear,” “Jailhouse Rock” and too many other great hits to list!

Legends in Concert is a fast-paced, exciting show filled with classic songs and artists that will keep you singing, clapping and/or dancing alongside them the whole way.
