The first of Silver Dollar City’s six festivals has begun and you won’t want to miss all the new entertainment this year’s WorldFest brings to the Ozarks. From April 7 to May 8, Silver Dollar City is transformed into a cultural bastion of dance, art, food and entertainment with the Russian Academic Band, Trinidad’s Footprints Diego Martin, and Ecuador Manta. New to this year’s WorldFest is Mayorov Russian Circus which showcases acrobats, clowns and amazing costumes. Canadian Powerhouse is a show not to be missed with their world-championship fiddlers and step-dancers. Also new is Rhythms of Rajasthan from India. Beautifully clothed folk dancers will enthrall audiences with their traditional instruments and enchanting voices. You will be transported to Ireland with the haunting melodies of Dearbhail Finnegan’s Irish Harp and Michael Londra’s voice. These are just a few of the many wonderful and unique artists and performers that are at this year’s WorldFest.
In between shows, sample foods from around the world plus try an all-new selection of International Nachos featuring spicy and traditional from Mexico; pasta chips smothered in delicious Italian ingredients from Naples and fries covered with roast beef and gravy from Ireland. And there is always the same wonderful food you find at Silver Dollar City throughout the year.
Don’t miss this year’s brand new addition, Half Dollar Hollar, created especially for the park’s youngest guests. Half Dollar Hollar features the Treetop Trail, full of treetop fun houses, climbing nets and mazes; Hugo and Mary’s Carousel; and Storybook Circle, where the little ones can relax for a time while listening to classic classic storybook tales.
